The branch in Almelo has 500 employees and has a strong NPI team (new product introduction) and development team of 130 engineers with a mix of knowledge and skills such as industrial design, UX design, mechanical design, electronics design, software design and test development. With more than 13,000 employees, we are one of the top 10 electronics manufacturers worldwide. We help our customers to develop innovations and bring them into large series production quickly Where we stand for These can be control panels for aircraft, connected sensor devices, service robotics, medical devices, or semi-conductor machine parts. We supply these products from product design to volume production and even directly to the end user. We are working on new products that increase safety, health or convenience. Working at Benchmark on products with impact For example, we work for clients such as Airbus, Siemens, Fluke or Semiconductor companies. Besides the electronics production, we also have full precision mechanical production capabilities. We mainly work for the Medical, Industrial and Aerospace & Defense markets. We have Design Centers of Innovation at strategic locations in each of the three major regions. With offices across the U.S., Europe and Asia, Benchmark delivers the highest level of market-oriented services and turnkey platforms where our customers need them. About a third of those require multiple needle sticks and Accuvein saves time and improving patient experience.Doing business together in a global companyīenchmark Almelo is part of a worldwide Benchmark Network. About 1.4 billion venipunctures occur each year in the United States alone - the most-common invasive medical procedure. Each block consists of “several hundred” Accuvein units. Product information has been translated into 33 languages and devices are sold worldwide. Benchmark’s medical device manufacturing facility in Winona, MN is making the Accuvein devices.īenchmark must meet Food and Drug Administration specifications and demonstrate that exacting standards are reproducible during manufacturing. Accuvein won a “Medical Design Excellence Award for outstanding product design,“. That device is the Accuvein AV300, AV 400 and AV 500. Benchmark’s skills in both medical design and medical manufacturing delivered an award winning medical device. Benchmark delivered on Industrial Design, light and optics innovations, and Mechanical Engineering that solved complex heat and shock resistance challenges. For this reason all the essential user touch points are readily available at standing height level on the front face of the device.Īccuvein partnered with Benchmark Electronics to do the detailed design and production work on Accuvein. The EVOQ lets the user focus on solving analytical problems without distraction by operation of the instrument. The ID emphasizes compact size and usability with a clean, inviting user interface and reinforces the brand with Bruker’s signature round inlet cover. The Industrial Design of the Bruker EVOQ triple quadrupole MS utilizes subtle curves, crisp radii, contrasting colors and balanced features to provide a fresh approach to mass spectrometers. Considerable attention was given to thermal needs and designing the housing for maximum controlled air flow. From a mechanical packaging perspective, the creative challenge was compacting the design to the size of a bench top unit, while not impeding the performance characteristics of the system. The objective was to provide an intuitive physical interface that is visually appealing and respectful of the Bruker design language, that is, their iconic blue ball at the ion source.
